Real Big Fish

Hello,

Landon has a friend, Jacob (3), at day care that loves fishing. He has been bringing fishing and boat catalogs to "read" since he could walk. One of his first words was hitch, because that is what brings the boat. So Landon has been fishing with his friend out on the playground for months now. He will sit beside a puddle (or no puddle) and drops a stick in and then pull out a "real big fish". Landon had not ever been fishing or even touched a fishing pole, so I'm pretty sure he had no idea what this fishing thing actually was. That changed on vacation:

Landon now knows what fishing is and had a very good time doing it. We found a school of blue gill that hit the line every 30 secs. That was a perfect setting for a two year old to enjoy fishing.

We went to the same lake as last summer and Landon got to do a lot of things he enjoys - rock throwing, sand building, water splashing, running around outside, riding trains, blowing bubbles and most importantly getting Grandma and Grandpa to try to make sure he is entertained all day every day.

Riding the train at the animal park (mid "ChooChoo!")

Landon proving he does has some Callaway blood - trying to play with fire

The armadillos wanted to be petted, even though they didn't know it

We also had a visit from my sister and her family. Joe helped me with my deck and got some instruction on how to properly mix the concrete:

Landon had a good time playing with his cousins, Sammy and Jonah:

Thats it for today. Enjoy.
