We Welcome the Terribles

Hello from Landon the 2 year old,

Landon turned two yesterday, but had his party last weekend.

Here are three birthday related videos:
1) Landon not wanting to share his balloons:

2) Landon opening a present, I'm just showing one present so you get the idea:

3) Landon playing the night of his birthday party with a tent he got:

The boy is all grown up now. He crossed the fence at day care and is no longer in the baby room. Its a little sad when I think about it, and very sad for him when he sees his old care takers through the door. Its OK because I know he likes playing with the older kids - especially one older woman, a tall red head named Hannah, 4 yrs old. He's already going for older women red heads ... all I can do close my eyes shake my head and wait for the train wreck.

Till then, my story for this post involves Landon's favorite thing to do ... go outside. This last Sunday it was 70 degrees out, so we decided to go try out a kite he got for his birthday. We told him we were going outside so he ran to the closet excited and started jumping up for his coat. Then Vicki told him doesn't need his coat .... he immediately started crying. To him that meant he didn't get to go outside. So essentially in his world we told him he gets to go outside and then told him he can't as if we were just tricking him. It took us at least 10 minutes to get him to understand that both statements were true. That he gets to go outside AND he isn't putting on a coat. It was funny to watch his little man mind come to grasp with both those statements.

Here is a video of us flying the kite later:

Landon is sleeping and his translator will be following in those footsteps.
